On 24 June 2013, the UN Security Council will look at accountability for crimes of sexual violence and how the United Nations can better support countries in holding perpetrators to account.

Chaired by UK Foreign Secretary William Hague, the Security Council debate will address this alarmingly common crime of sexual violence in conflict. Briefers will include Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict Zainab Bangura, Angelina Jolie, and Jane Anywar Adong.
